Dear Discipleship-First Tribe,
We want to introduce you to TCM International Institute, one of Discipleship.org’s partners. TCM’s vision is that every nation will have effective leaders of disciple making movements impacting their churches, cultures, and countries for Christ.
Tell us about the name of your ministry.
TCM International Institute began in 1957 as Toronto Christian Mission. The ministry began as a church planting ministry in Canada and subsequently transformed into a disciple making focused training ministry, based from Haus Edelweiss, our Austrian Campus, for international Christian leaders involved with a variety of ministries throughout the world.
What is your unique disciple-making emphasis?
TCM International Institute develops Christian leaders for significant service through higher learning. We offer an accredited, graduate-level academic program in organizational leadership with a focus on disciple-making practice. Keep reading to learn more about TCM and their impact on disciple making worldwide.
Picking up from the email . . .
This program is specifically designed to equip Christian leaders worldwide to be more effective disciple makers in their local, national, and global ministries. TCM’s vision is that every nation will have effective leaders of disciple making movements impacting their churches, cultures, and countries for Christ.
TCM offers Certificate, Master of Arts, and Master of Divinity degrees, with a focus on disciple-making practice. Utilizing a hybrid of online learning through distance delivery and a face-to-face seminar retreat, our program provides affordable, accessible, and practical graduate-level training to become better equipped and credentialed as a disciple-making leader.
How do you help everyday disciples who aspire to be disciple makers?
Many of our students have been discipled by our graduates. So, they have experienced stories, insights, teaching, and mentoring that comes from their spiritual grandparents. When ready, some have begun studying with their disciple makers who are a few years ahead of them in their Christian maturity.
Who are the key leaders in your network?
Tony Twist serves as President and CEO of TCM International Institute. Rick Justice, Jr., serves as Vice President of Educational Advancement and Dean. David Wright serves as Vice President of Ministry Services and CFO. Christian Witzmann serves as Vice President of International Operations.Together they comprise the executive leadership team. Throughout the world is a network of faculty, regional representatives, alumni, students and other key leaders who serve at two dozen mentoring centers serving 45 countries.
How can people connect with you?
We have two websites: www.tcmi.org for those interested in learning more about how to get involved in global mission with TCM and www.tcmi.edu for those interested in learning more about TCM’s training programs.
