At Downline Ministries, we define discipleship the way Paul defined it in his letter to the Thessalonians, as “truth and life transference in the context of authentic relationship” (I Thess. 2:8). Truth and life transference in the context of authentic relationship. That’s Downline’s mission, hope, and its reason for being.
Our hope here at Downline is to make disciples in the home, church, and community. One way we put that hope to action is the Downline Summit. Our prayer is that the Downline Summit would compel people to respond to the gospel by loving someone else to the point of sharing the truth of God with them in the context of relationship, so he or she can do the same with others.
The Summit is the one weekend out of the year when Downline’s vision and passion to restore biblical discipleship in and through the local church is on full display. The Summit expresses our desire to serve the local church by equipping students with a clear vision for and definition of what Jesus meant when He said, “go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”
This year’s Downline Summit will be two powerful days of insight and encouragement aimed at serving believers as they seek to make disciples of all nations. This year’s speaking team includes passionate and faithful Christ followers, such as Robby Gallaty, Jen Wilkin, Kevin Smith and Dr. Robert Coleman. Between main stage sessions and breakout workshops, we have no doubt attendees will leave the Summit ready to invest their lives into others for the sake of Christ.
We hope this weekend will refresh your relationship with Jesus and renew your passion for the mission He has entrusted you with and gifted you for.
