Featuring: Greg Ogden & Ralph Rittenhouse
Time: Thursday, October 4th at 1:00 pm Central Time
So what does Ogden say about how to make reproducing disciples of Jesus? Take the example of an eager, new believer approaching you. What would you do if they said to you, “I am a new follower of Jesus, I’m excited to grow in my faith, and I want to help others do the same. Do you have a plan to help me?”
Greg Ogden’s answer starts with the end in mind. But how do we get there? (Hint: it includes a vehicle, driver, and map [GPS].)
Join me as I interview Greg Ogden and Ralph Rittenhouse of Global Discipleship Initiative.
Be inspired by the stories of a disciple making veteran and the local church being transformed into communities of disciple makers!
Greg is an author of six books including Discipleship Essentials, translated in 15 languages, and pilot-tested over 30 years with over 300,000 in print. Most recently Greg served as Executive Pastor of Discipleship at Christ Church of Oak Brook, IL in the Chicago western suburbs. From 1998-2002, Greg held the position of Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at Fuller Theological Seminary and Associate Professor of Lay Equipping and Discipleship. Prior to coming to Fuller, Greg enjoyed 24 years in pastoral ministry.
Dr. Ogden is a principal partner in a new ministry entitled the Global Discipleship Initiative (GDI). GDI trains, coaches, and inspires pastors and Christian leaders to establish indigenous, multiplying, disciple-making networks, both nationally and internationally.
Ralph contributes to the disciple making conversation today as a pastor of a model congregation of disciples who keep on making disciples. He pastored Camarillo Community Church in Southern California for 32 years. With Dr. Greg Ogden, he launched the Global Discipleship Initiative in 2015 and currently serves as its President.
